HOW TO CONTROL EMOTIONS

This would give you guides on how to control your emotions towards your better-half, friends, officemates and all the people around you, especially your "boss". The rules of practicing "ugaling langit, ugaling kaaya-aya" :

#1 Ang naunang magalit ang may karapatang magalit. Pag naunahan ka na ng galit niya, tumahimik ka na lang muna.
17de309.gif

#2 Walang taong nag-aaway mag-isa. Pag hindi kayo sumagot o pumatol, titigil din daw ang taong nakikipag- away sa inyo.

#3 Ang taong galit, ‘bingi.’ If someone is angry, wala raw pinakikinggan, so, don’t try to explain and fight back. Hindi ka niya iintindihin dahil wala siyang naririnig kundi ang sarili nya.

#4 Ang taong galit, ‘abnoy.’ Ayon sa pastor, Biblical daw ito? because the Lord said when He was crucified, "Father, patawarin mo sila dahil hindi nila alam ang kanilang ginagawa." Modern term for these kind of people are abnoys, so you better not get angry para huwag kang matawag na abnoy.

You should also know and realize that the person who make your day bad are jewel, because you need them inorder for you to mature. Hangga’t andyan daw sila at kinaiinisan mo, ibig sabihin, immature ka pa. God will not take away those people; it’s for you to take away your bad feelings towards them. You’ll know na mature ka na pag dumating ‘yung time na hindi ka na naiinis sa mga taong ito because you have learned to accept them and to have patience with them.

#5 Finally, the best part of this is to tell yourself na, because of this person, "I will grow mature," and that DAHIL SA CONTRIBUTION NIYA SA MATURITY MO, KUKUNIN DIN SYA NI LORD.

When It Rains…..It Pours….

January 8th, 2007

The rain falls heavily today..the usual iloilo scene flashed before my eyes. The drainage were clogged, water was stucked in the sidewalks…that’s why I hate rain when I’m here. I wished the rain would stop before 8 am but it did not. As a result, I was late for work and entered the office dripping with water still there’s nothing  I can do about it. Indeed when it rains, it pours…

Rain, rain, go away.
Come again some other day.
Rain, rain, go away,
Come again another day.
Rain, rain, go away.
Come again some other day.
Little Johnny wants to play,
In the meadow by the hay.
Rain, rain, go to Spain,
Never show your face again.
Rain, rain, pour down,
But not a drop on our town.
Rain on the green grass,
and rain on the tree,
And rain on the housetop,
but not on me.
Rain, rain, go away,
Come again on washing day.
Rain, rain, go to Germany,
And remain there permanently.
Rain, rain, go away,
Come on Martha’s wedding day.

A Risk Worth Taking

January 7th, 2007
She is the girl I can’t forget
Of all the things she never regret
For all the time that she spent
She was hurt, though I didn’t meant

How could I repay her?
All her life to me she care
She neglect her own Calvary
She carries my own destiny

I promised her the lovely moon
Instead I gave a rose of stone
I saw her tears they were made of thorns
I then killed myself with the pride of horns

She made a risk worth taking
I find myself from dying to living
She extends her arms of love
I saw the light I fell in love

Now she’s the ink of my pen
The stars of my dream
Composer of my life’s hymn
She’s Hannah the most amazing woman I’ve ever seen.

Missing My Old Friends

January 5th, 2007

I haven’t seen my old friends for almost 3 years now. Are they thinking of me too? Well, I’m confident enough that they did not forget me. I really missed them, the old loud laughs, the continuous giggles, and the unending chats….I wish we will be reunited this 2007.

To all my old friends this is for you: (also applicable to ALL my friends)

FRIENDS FOREVER

Friends we will be
Till the end of our days
Forgetting each other
Will not be the right way

Even we take the different paths
In search of our life and faith
Each other’s face and smile
Will always be remembered

The problems we’ve been through
Would be our guide
When we go out of our shell
And face the big world

The happy memoirs we had
When we were still in each other’s arms
Will keep coming back
As if it just happened today

The events will help us remember
And would serve as a reminder
That you still have a friend
Who welcomes with an open hand

When our different roads meet
Hope we can still recall
The vow that we made together
That we will be friends forever

New Hope, New Year

January 4th, 2007

I’ve been thinking a lot about hope recently. It seems that everywhere
we turn we see people who are without hope. We can see it on the news,
in magazines, and in TV dramas. We see it when we go to the mall and
sometimes even when we’re at church. People are trying to find hope by
somehow filling the void they feel.

All around us, we hear
people say things like this: "I hope I’ll win in lottery", "Sure hope
our team wins the championship", "I hope it’s sunny on Saturday for our
picnic". We treat hope as a wish. But what happens to our "hope" if
those don’t turn out as we waited?

Here in the Philippines, all
we should hope for is peace, the calm in the midst of the storm. In the
past weeks, we experienced numerous tragedies…landslides that killed
several people, fires that burned some houses and establishments, chaos
in the government, and bombings that cause injuries to its victims.
Last December 29, my hometown ( Tacurong, Sultan Kudarat) experienced
bombings and bomb threats. I don’t know why, but if you ask me why I
would always want to be home? My answer would be always YES…because I
love my family, I love the place…my childhood friends…the
food…the nature…besides, the eye is a region where mostly calm weather can be found at the center of strong  storm.
